Eileen is an important architect and steward of Horizon’s culture. During Eileen’s sixteen years at Horizon, she has accelerated change and transformed Horizon into a magnet for the industry’s best talent and a place widely recognized for the highest levels of commitment to inclusion, diversity and the professional and personal development of its people. Eileen has made betterment a progressive cornerstone of Horizon’s culture, fostering a supportive environment for the total physical and mental well-being of Horizon’s employees. She has championed the development of Horizon’s on-site gym and yoga studio, was instrumental in developing classes for meditation, breathing and relaxation, and the driving force behind Horizon’s ‘Retreat,’ a new room of hanging silks where people can relax, recharge and rejuvenate. Eileen is perhaps most proud of Horizon Health, the agency’s on-site nursing and urgent care facility where people receive convenient and continuity of care. In recognition of her leadership, dedication to organizational culture, and focus on mentorship, Eileen has twice been named an HR Practitioner Superstar by HRO Today Magazine and is the first-ever HR practitioner to be recognized on the prestigious Adweek Media All Star list. On September 26, 2018, Eileen will also be saluted for her extraordinary mentorship by the IRTS Foundation at its annual IRTS Hall of Mentorship Dinner. Eileen has helped establish Horizon as a perennial recipient of major industry awards recognizing culture and excellence. The agency has been named to more than 20 renowned best workplace lists over the years including Forbes America's Best Midsize Employers, Fortune 100 Best Places to Work for Women and AdAge Best Place to Work lists. During her tenure Horizon has been named the #2 Best Place to Interview in the U.S. by Glassdoor and recognized on Glassdoor’s list of Companies that hire in 20 days or less. Eileen is also a founding member of Horizon’s “Limitless” platform, which was created by five of the agency’s female leaders, with the intention of educating, motivating and inspiring each employee to identify and explore their own leadership potential. Prior to joining Horizon Media, Benwitt worked for four years as Executive Vice President of Human Resources at MPG and was Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Porter Novelli. Eileen develops a healthy mind, body and soul through a regular practice of pilates, meditation, cycling, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. She believes that a sense of humor and keeping it real are the key to all things in life.
