Lara McLeod, the Head of Justice, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (JEDI) at Axon, has always been passionate about equity, inclusion, civil rights, and social justice. A writer by trade, Lara spent her first professional years as a political journalist and UX writer before completely pivoting her career to focus on workplace culture, DEI, and social justice within the tech industry. Since then, Lara has had the pleasure of doing work that she absolutely loves in the JEDI realm at Microsoft, Zillow, and now Axon. Along with her full-time role, Lara regularly works with civil rights non-profit organizations to influence social change, and she serves on the boards of City Year Seattle, VECTRE VR, and Seed&Spark.
