Kamela Forbes Matheson has been doing transformative work in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion space for over 5 years. She started as a diversity manager in the talent acquisition space helping clients diversity their talent pools. Later she moved into the learning and development space, creating and facilitating “Consciously Unbiased” learning experiences educating clients on mitigating bias and incorporating inclusive behaviors in efforts to compliment their talent acquisition strategy. She then decided to take her efforts global and now serves as the Global Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Pride Global where she ensures that the company stays at the forefront of the DE&I revolution through her implementation of “Decidedly Diverse” - a comprehensive DE&I strategy. Having graduated from The Kenan-Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as one of 2 minority students admitted in her class and working thereafter in the fashion industry as one of the handful of black models, Kamela understands firsthand the need for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in general and is committed to using her difference to make a difference.
