Eric Saggese is the Vice President of People at Happy Money, where he leads the team behind all things people and culture. From payroll and benefits to recruitment to learning experience, Eric and his team ensure that all of Happy Money’s employees are supported in their mission to develop and deliver affordable, accessible financial products and services that empower people to use money as a tool for their happiness. Prior to joining Happy Money, Eric served in a variety of human resources roles at tech companies such as SendGrid (now Twilio), Kareo, and Veritone. He has a proven track record of leadership experience within people services and human resources with specific experience supporting organizations during hyper-growth and transformation, including IPO and acquisition stages. While at SendGrid, he evolved the company’s people processes and practices in support of IPO readiness. At Veritone, he designed and implemented a talent management strategy and recognition program for the fast-growing business. And at Kareo, he was the sole HRBP supporting all US-based business teams – developing a strategy and full-cycle program to survey and address employee engagement. Throughout his career, Eric has focused on planning, transforming, and delivering progressive strategies across all areas of human resources to increase employee engagement and retention. Eric is an avid hiker, runner, and traveler and has been singing with Men Alive, the Orange County Gay Men’s Chorus, since 2013. He resides in Orange County, California with his partner John and their dog Fabio.
